About This Role

Job Title

This role requires a high degree of professional responsibility to ensure effective lesson planning, accurate assessment of student progress, and the consistent delivery of outstanding teaching and learning throughout Key Stages 3-5. The person appointed will be responsible for maintaining high academic standards, preparing students for examinations, and engaging in school-wide responsibilities in accordance with institutional policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities


Create and deliver stimulating Science lessons aligned with the British Curriculum, ideally with a concentration on Biology or Physics.


Adapt teaching methods to meet the varied needs of all students while ensuring inclusive practices are in place.


Assess, track, and communicate student progress, using data to refine teaching strategies.


Maintain excellent classroom management standards and prioritize the wellbeing of students.


Participate in curriculum development, enrichment activities, and initiatives related to STEM education.


Collaborate effectively with colleagues and foster positive relationships with parents and the wider school community.

Qualifications & Experience


A Bachelor’s degree in Science with a relevant specialization, along with a recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE or its equivalent).


At least 2-3 years of experience teaching Secondary Science in a British Curriculum school (experience in the UAE is advantageous but not essential).


In-depth knowledge of the subject matter and a demonstrated track record of student achievement.


Outstanding communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.


A strong dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable


Experience in teaching KS5 / A-Level courses.


Ability to lead extracurricular science clubs, competitions, or STEM-related initiatives.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
