Teacher of Mathematics - August 2026

GEMS Al Barsha National School is on the lookout for an exceptional and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to become a member of our dedicated team starting in August 2026. As an English Teacher at GEMS Al Barsha National School, your role will involve delivering dynamic and stimulating lessons that encourage a profound appreciation for the English language and its literature. You will assist students in honing their reading, writing, and analytical capabilities, while ensuring that all learners achieve their full academic potential. Outside the classroom, you will actively engage in the broader school community, participating in co-curricular activities, school events, and ongoing curriculum enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that motivate and engage students across various ability levels.
• Cultivate a passion for reading, writing, and communication through innovative and meaningful learning experiences.
• Assess, document, and communicate student progress, utilizing data to guide lesson planning and differentiation.
• Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports all learners and champions academic excellence.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create inventive schemes of work and exchange best practices.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and achievements.
• Engage in departmental meetings, professional development, and co-curricular initiatives.

• Contribute to the broader school community through events, performances, and enrichment activities.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification/license (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Strong subject expertise in English language and literature.
• Proficient in using ICT and digital tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

Experience:

• A minimum of two years’ teaching experience, preferably within the National Curriculum for England.
• Experience in an international or culturally diverse educational environment is a plus.
