Teacher of English
About This Role
Teacher of English
Open Sky International is on the lookout for a committed English teacher to become part of our secondary school in Boulogne-Billancourt, located just outside of Paris.
About Our School
Open Sky International is a private bilingual institution providing education in both French and English. Founded in 2012, we serve students from early years through to Terminale (Year 13 in the British system). Our upper school learners engage in a combination of GCSE, IGCSE, International A Level, and A Level examinations. All students benefit from a bilingual curriculum, with around half of their lessons delivered in French and the other half in English.
We are dedicated to offering a top-notch bilingual education, incorporating the finest aspects of various international curricula and teaching methods. Our commitment to excellence starts early, aiming for a curriculum that is stimulating, thorough, and engaging. Our small class sizes encourage a respectful, hardworking, and motivated student community. As a genuinely international school, we cater to both French and expatriate families, celebrating our rich diversity. Our educators, passionate about teaching, are well-versed in effective instructional practices.
English is a fundamental subject in our secondary program, with Pearson Edexcel GCSE English Language and Literature offered in Year 11, and A Level English Language and Literature available as options in the sixth form.
The Position
We are seeking a qualified teacher of English Language and Literature, with the ability to teach at the A Level. The specific timetable and subject assignments will be tailored to the strengths, skills, and experience of the selected candidate, as well as the requirements of our students and the curriculum for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Moreover, the successful candidate will need to participate in our after-school programme.
