To join our team in August 2026, we are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology, preferably with experience in teaching IB programmes (MYP and/or DP Design Technology).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging lessons in Design Technology that align with the IB (MYP/DP) framework.
• Create innovative, hands-on lessons that develop technical, design, and problem-solving skills.
• Implement the IB design cycle and inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Ensure the safe and skilled use of tools, machinery, and materials.
• Assess student work using IB assessment criteria and provide constructive feedback.
• Support student well-being by actively participating in pastoral care.
• Encourage involvement in design competitions, clubs, and maker initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification and experience in IB programmes (MYP and/or DP).
• Thorough practical knowledge of workshop tools, materials, and safety procedures.
• The ability to inspire creativity and innovative thinking in students.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and digital design technologies.
• Strong differentiation skills to meet diverse learning needs.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
