Vacancy for Teacher of Computer Science at North Cambridge Academy.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional, dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Computer Science. The successful candidate will be an accomplished classroom teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the confidence to teach across age ranges. The Teacher of Computer Science will work closely with colleagues to foster creativity through technology, ensuring that students are motivated and challenged through a wide range of opportunities to learn both within and outside of the classroom.

The Opportunity

• To teach challenging and enjoyable lessons across all key stages.
• Confidently share new ideas, during staff meetings.
• Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions.
• Be aware of pupils’ capabilities and their prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these.
• Encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.

The ideal candidate

• Has Qualified Teacher Status and a good educational background including a good Honours Degree or equivalent.
• Can evidence both curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
• Understands and is committed to teaching standards.
• Has high personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality and organising workload.
• Has a positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach towards work.
• Has a willingness to undergo further training and development.
• Be a team player, with a ‘can do’ solution focused attitude
• Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity
