About the Programme:
The Vinschool Advanced (Cambridge) Programme is a bilingual initiative that seamlessly integrates the Vinschool Education System, the Vietnamese national curriculum, and the Cambridge International Programmes to deliver a comprehensive teaching and learning experience.
What we seek:
We are looking for dynamic, experienced, and certified educators to join our international teaching staff. The successful candidates will teach the Cambridge Computer Science Programme, following the Cambridge International Curriculum Framework. Applicants should have the requisite qualifications and experience, along with a strong commitment to supporting students academically and through extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum framework, with a teaching load of up to 20 hours per week.
- Design curriculum, lesson plans, and educational materials; manage and update content on the LMS.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Assess and track student academic progress; provide timely feedback and assistance.
- Maintain and update student academic records, including prompt entry of test results and preparation of progress reports.
- Establish and maintain classroom expectations; oversee student behavior and social development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and any issues that arise.
- Create and implement remedial programs for students requiring additional support.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Engage in extracurricular activities, including clubs and academic competitions.
- Supervise students during non-class times, such as hall duty, morning gate duty, and other assigned supervision duties by the Principal or Vice Principal.
- While primary teaching responsibilities will focus on their subject expertise, teachers may also be tasked with a secondary subject within their qualifications to support the school's program.
- Undertake homeroom teacher responsibilities as assigned, which involve tracking attendance, providing pastoral care, and communicating with parents; an allowance is provided for this role.
- Fulfill additional professional duties as requested by the Principal, Vice Principal, or Lead Teacher.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Education in a relevant field.
- A professional teaching qualification/license/certification as required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional teaching experience (post-qualification) in a formal educational environment.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum is preferred but not required.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English (minimum C1 fluency).
Soft Skills and Characteristics:
- Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in classroom management and engagement strategies.
