We are currently seeking qualified Science Teachers to apply for positions available starting August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that ignite curiosity, enhance critical thinking, and cultivate a love for learning.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that recognizes individual strengths and diverse learning styles.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the varied needs of all students, including EAL learners, gifted students, and those who need extra support.
• Utilize technology and innovative approaches to enhance student engagement and improve learning results.
• Assess, document, and communicate student progress effectively, using data to inform instruction and provide tailored support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine IB-aligned curriculum resources and assessments.
• Engage with the wider school community by participating in co-curricular activities, events, and community initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with parents and the broader school community to support student growth and wellbeing.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and self-reflection to enhance teaching practices.
• Demonstrate the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all areas of school life.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A recognized professional teaching qualification at the degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent specializing in Science.
• At least 3 years of relevant and verifiable experience teaching Secondary Science, ideally within an IB Curriculum School (though this is not a requirement).
• Experience with MYP and DP teaching is a plus but not essential.
• A genuine passion for motivating young learners through innovative and inquiry-based teaching methods.
• The vision, energy, dedication, and educational philosophy needed to contribute to the ongoing success of a prominent GEMS school serving an international student body.
• A desire for professional advancement and a willingness to collaborate within a forward-thinking community.
