Wellington College China collaborates with Wellington College in England and operates three schools in Shanghai, all situated in close proximity to each other and the vibrant center of this international metropolis. Our institutions deliver an exceptional education to over 5,000 students, ranging from ages 2 to 18. Recognized for our outstanding workplace culture, Wellington College China has been honored with the HR Asia Best Employers to Work For Award in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Hiba Academy Shanghai (previously known as Huili School Shanghai) serves as Wellington’s bilingual institution for Chinese students, having opened its doors in August 2018. Currently, the academy accommodates more than 1,400 pupils across Early Years 1-4 and Grades 1-12. Our high school curriculum includes IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), designed to facilitate students' applications to universities abroad.

We are committed to merging the educational strengths of both Eastern and Western traditions to foster a pupil-centric, bilingual, and bicultural learning environment. Our goal is to inspire students to realize their fullest potential, take pride in their heritage, and be proactive agents of change in the world. This philosophy is rooted in a profound understanding of China's rich cultural heritage while equipping students with the values, skills, and knowledge essential for becoming effective global citizens. We strive to prepare our pupils for success both during and beyond their time at our school.
