We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher and Science Leader to join our team beginning in August 2026. This important role within our primary department offers an excellent opportunity to lead and improve science education across the school while managing your own classroom. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing science standards and nurturing a culture of innovation, curiosity, and inquiry-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding instruction in your assigned primary classroom, following the National Curriculum for England.
  • Take charge of the design and implementation of the primary science curriculum.
  • Foster a culture of scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Mentor and assist colleagues to elevate the quality of science instruction.
  • Use data effectively to monitor student progress and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Plan and coordinate science-related events, fairs, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Provide professional development for staff to enhance subject knowledge and teaching methodologies.
  • Ensure uniformity in planning, assessment, and differentiation in science across all year levels.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to the school's overall improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with parents and the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a PGCE with QTS.
  • At least 4 years of teaching experience, with recent familiarity with the UK curriculum preferred.
  • A proven ability to positively impact student progress, particularly in science.
  • Experience or a formal position in middle leadership, ideally as a subject or phase leader.
  • In-depth understanding of scientific inquiry and curriculum design in primary science.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • ADEK approval or eligibility is advantageous.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
