ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School in Latvia, part of the esteemed Inspired Education Group, is seeking an exceptional Physical Education (PE) Teacher to start in the 2026–2027 academic year. This is an excellent chance to deliver outstanding teaching across the curriculum while significantly contributing to the growth of the PE program and promoting health, fitness, and well-being within the school community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons across all grade levels, ensuring students achieve their full potential in both physical skills and personal growth.


Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles through well-organized sports and fitness programs.


Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support.


Contribute significantly to the development and enhancement of the PE curriculum, extracurricular activities, and school sporting events.


Encourage student participation in school teams, competitions, and recreational sports opportunities.


Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical activity within the broader educational framework, enhancing overall well-being throughout the school.


Utilize digital tools and platforms to enrich teaching, assessment, and student engagement.


Engage with the broader school community by supporting events, workshops, and initiatives aimed at increasing parental involvement.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related area, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).


Proven experience teaching PE to diverse age groups, ideally including international or IB curricula.


Strong subject expertise and a passionate commitment to inspiring students in their physical development, fitness, and overall well-being.


A commitment to encouraging teamwork, resilience, and healthy living among students.


Ability to effectively integrate technology and contemporary fitness tools into lessons, creating interactive and engaging learning experiences.


A collaborative spirit, with a desire to contribute to the school’s values of innovation, excellence, and student wellness.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
