We are seeking passionate Secondary Teachers who can inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, making a significant impact on their educational experiences.

NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is currently looking for a MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER (SPANISH AND FRENCH) to join our dedicated team, which encompasses both Secondary and Primary education, and is devoted to delivering outstanding teaching and learning in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French).

The role:

As a qualified Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French), your duties will include:

  • Launching initiatives to boost student participation and school spirit.
  • Supporting extracurricular activities and school functions.
  • Establishing strong communication with parents to keep them informed about student progress.
  • Delivering lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and impactful.
  • Fostering creativity, problem-solving abilities, and design thinking.
  • Utilizing data-driven approaches to address various learning needs.
  • Incorporating digital tools to enhance learning experiences.
  • Serving as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.
  • Designing and executing lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and providing timely feedback.
  • Participating in curriculum development and quality assessment.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development.
  • Reflecting on your teaching methods to improve effectiveness.
  • Promoting school values and contributing to a positive educational environment.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Education or a relevant degree with a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French).
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience teaching within a UK and/or international context.
  • Training or qualifications in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French).
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • An understanding of student learning and development in relation to Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French) teaching methods.
  • Awareness of current trends in Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French) education.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of broader educational advancements.
  • Experience in raising standards across diverse student populations.
  • Expertise in planning, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating lessons as part of the school curriculum.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and relevant subject matter.
  • Understanding of assessment and reporting procedures.
  • Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level, and IB syllabi, along with related examination processes.
  • Ability to integrate technology in the classroom to enhance student learning.
  • Possession of a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
  • Compliance with visa regulations for employment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
