About This Role

ACS Doha stands out in Qatar’s educational landscape as a distinguished American International IB Continuum school, situated on a remarkable new campus. Recently, the school has joined the Artemis Education family. ACS Doha offers a pre-K to 12 curriculum, currently serving 980 students and holding significant potential for expansion within its new facilities.

Responsibilities:
- Identify the needs of assigned students through both formal and informal assessments.
- Analyze referral data, historical context, and assessment outcomes to create suitable goals and objectives for each student.
- Gather and evaluate data, such as WIDA and MAP, to facilitate effective English language acquisition.
- Collaborate with teachers to address the educational, social, emotional, and physical requirements and objectives of each student.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and execution of individualized learning plans.
- Develop instructional materials and lesson plans in accordance with Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
- Aid in the creation and implementation of necessary interventions and strategies to enhance student achievement.
- Prepare EAL students for integration and transition into mainstream classrooms.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Specialization in Special Education and EAL, or a related discipline.
- A teaching qualification such as PGCE/BEd or an equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in an international school setting is advantageous (IB, AP, PYP, and/or MYP).
- Experience in applied behavioral and academic interventions to ensure high-quality instruction for all students.
- Familiarity with current evaluation techniques and tools for diverse levels of assessment, including adaptive and curriculum-based measurement.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, showcasing exceptional communication skills.
