We are excited to invite applications for the position of Head of History & Politics at our College. The successful candidate will lead a well-respected department known for its popularity and effectiveness. In 2025, our GCSE results were outstanding, with 100% of students achieving grades ranging from 9 to 5. Similarly, our A-Level outcomes were impressive, with History A Level yielding 100% grades A*- C (63% A*- A) and Politics A Level achieving 100% A*- C (69% A*- A).
The offerings in History & Politics are integral to our school's ethos. Therefore, this role is crucial for the continued advancement of Jumeirah College.
Skills
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- A B.Ed. or a degree paired with a PGCE / PGDE or an equivalent qualification, showcasing exceptional subject knowledge.
- At least 2 years of experience with the National Curriculum for England.
- Proven experience in teaching both GCSE and A-Level. We seek passionate, motivated, and highly qualified professionals with a track record of delivering outstanding educational experiences.
- A firm belief in the potential of every student to succeed, along with the enthusiasm and dedication to support them in reaching their full capabilities.
