Located on Al Reem Island, our institution provides the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework complemented by aspects of the British curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive and globally-oriented educational experience.

We are currently seeking applications from skilled and passionate individuals for the position of Head of Arabic to join our outstanding team starting from August 2026. This position will include teaching responsibilities.

Our Arabic Department has successfully enhanced student outcomes through a progressive, student-focused methodology, merging data-informed strategies with empathy and expertise. The team is highly esteemed for its dedication to academic excellence, individual development, and the overall well-being of each student.

The Arabic Teacher will be tasked with delivering exceptional teaching and learning that aligns with the requirements of ADEK and the Ministry of Education (MOE). This role will support the Arabic Department by ensuring adherence to compliance standards, promoting national identity, fostering staff collaboration, engaging parents, and nurturing a culture of ongoing improvement.

Teaching, Learning & Curriculum
- Provide high-quality Arabic lessons that meet MOE and ADEK curriculum guidelines.
- Design and prepare stimulating lessons tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Track student progress and leverage assessment data to inform instructional practices and enhance outcomes.
- Effectively implement school policies and directives from line managers regarding teaching, learning, and student behavior.
- Engage in and support competitions, projects, and enrichment activities to boost student involvement and success.

Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure full adherence to policies set by the Ministry of Education and ADEK within classroom practices.
- Aid the department in preparing for external inspections and internal evaluations.
- Keep precise records of student progress, assessments, and reporting in accordance with school standards.

National Identity & Cultural Engagement
- Promote and weave UAE national identity, values, and heritage into Arabic instruction.
- Take part in national celebrations and events (such as UAE National Day, Flag Day, and Commemoration Day).
- Encourage cultural awareness and appreciation among students and their families.

Collaboration & Professional Development
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Arabic Department to exchange best practices and resources.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Provide support to new or developing teachers through mentoring and collaboration as necessary.

Parent & Student Engagement
- Establish effective communication channels with parents to keep them updated on student progress.
- Address inquiries from parents and students in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster positive relationships between home and school to support student development and well-being.

Departmental Contribution
- Contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives that align with the overarching goals of the school.
- Assist in the collection of departmental data, maintenance of assessment records, and reporting systems as needed.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives (such as competitions, clubs, and community projects).

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
