Role Overview
As an Early Years Headteacher, you will be a key founding member responsible for the establishment and leadership of the Early Years program.

During the Academic Year 2026-2027, your responsibilities will include:

•
Creating and implementing academic and classroom systems for Early Years

•
Translating the school's educational philosophy into daily practices in Early Years

•
Delivering and demonstrating high-quality instruction in Early Years

•
Supporting teacher preparation and ensuring uniformity within Early Years classrooms

•
Engaging parents through presentations, playgroups, and family programs over the weekends

In the following Academic Year 2027-2028, you will transition into a homeroom teacher role (N, K1, or K2) while also leading the Early Years department.

This role is ideal for a skilled Early Years educator who is enthusiastic about teaching young learners and developing effective systems.

Key Responsibilities
Early Years Program & System Design
•
Design and execute an Early Years academic framework that aligns with UK-based methodologies and our educational philosophy

•
Create components of the Early Years curriculum, including:

•
Unit themes and learning pathways

•
Scheme of Work and example lesson plans

•
Daily routines and classroom management strategies

•
Experiences focused on play-based and inquiry-based learning

•
Observation and assessment tools

•
Documentation and reporting templates

•
Ensure alignment between the curriculum, assessment, classroom execution, and principles of child development

Classroom Teaching & Practice
•
Lead playgroups and summer camps during the 2026-27 academic year

•
Serve as a homeroom teacher for N, K1, or K2 in the 2027-28 academic year

•
Demonstrate exemplary practices in: Play-based learning, Language-rich interactions, Support for executive function and self-regulation, Positive behavior guidance

•
Foster a classroom environment that promotes: Psychological safety, Confidence and independence, Curiosity and joy in learning

Teacher Support & Collaboration
•
Support the onboarding and mentorship of Early Years teachers and teaching assistants

•
Set clear expectations for routines, planning, and documentation in Early Years classrooms

•
Provide instructional support and informal coaching to ensure consistency across Early Years classes

•
Encourage a reflective, child-centered professional culture within the Early Years team

Student Wellbeing & Safeguarding
•
Assist in implementing wellbeing and safeguarding protocols for Early Years students

•
Maintain accurate records of student observations and welfare

•
Ensure that daily routines promote emotional safety and growth for children

Parent Engagement
•
Effectively communicate with parents regarding:

Child development

•
Learning methodologies

•
Classroom routines and expectations

•
Facilitate parent orientations, workshops, and events related to Early Years education

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
•
Native English speaker

•
Bachelor's Degree (at minimum) in Education or a related field

•
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a homeroom teacher in Early Years

•
In-depth knowledge of the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

•
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

•
Ability to create curriculum plans that meet both academic and developmental needs

•
Skilled in mentoring and supporting teaching staff to improve their practice

•
Proficient in the use of technology for administrative and teaching purposes
