Position Overview:
Specialisation in Psychology:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that comply with the IB curriculum, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Assess student understanding through various evaluation techniques, including projects and reflective assignments.
- Encourage discussions to deepen comprehension of psychological principles, incorporating current research and case studies.
- Conduct workshops on mental health topics to promote student well-being.
Specialisation in Humanities:
- Develop interactive lessons that explore cultural, social, and ethical topics.
- Utilize a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Facilitate collaborative projects that link students to real-world issues, applying interdisciplinary approaches.
- Organize field trips or invite guest speakers to enhance the educational experience.
Specialisation in History:
- Create stimulating lessons focused on inquiry-based learning within the IB framework.
- Evaluate student performance through essays and presentations, encouraging critical examination of historical events.
- Use primary sources to enrich understanding and provoke historical debates that challenge student viewpoints.
Specialisation in Geography:
- Design engaging lessons centered on physical, human, and environmental processes.
- Apply diverse assessment strategies to evaluate understanding and application of geographical concepts.
- Cultivate data analysis skills for effective interpretation of geographical information while encouraging fieldwork that connects theory to practical geography.
Specialisation in Business & Economics:
- Create dynamic lessons that highlight real-world applications and case studies.
- Assess student progress through reports and presentations, promoting critical thinking and ethical considerations.
- Incorporate simulations and role-playing exercises for practical business decision-making while staying informed on global economic trends for relevance.
General Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any field along with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).
- Familiarity with the MYP and essential elements of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous.
- Newly qualified teachers or those with experience in a recognized educational institution are welcome to apply.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not grant Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is required for teaching at an ESF school.
