KCISLK is actively seeking passionate and dedicated English as an Additional Language (EAL) educators to join our secondary Standard Program for the 2026–2027 academic year. Teachers within this program should possess experience in aiding English language learners to enhance their confidence, fluency, and intercultural communication abilities in practical contexts. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
• CELTA, TEFL (120 hours), or another postgraduate certification in TESOL
• At least 3 years of experience teaching EAL/EFL
• Proven experience in designing activities and/or assessments that foster engaging learning experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Understanding by Design (UbD)
• A valid teaching certification/license
• Experience in formative assessment and evaluating student performance data
• Knowledge of AERO World Language standards
• Understanding of Conceptual Transfer
Responsibilities for Middle School (Grades 7-8) teachers include:
• Building strong, positive relationships with students to support their social and emotional growth alongside academic achievement.
• Fostering curiosity and a passion for learning to create an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Developing lessons that blend foundational language skills with opportunities for critical thinking, creativity, and exploration, tailored to the developmental needs of middle school students.
Responsibilities for High School (Grades 9-12) teachers include:
• Utilizing subject-specific expertise to inspire critical thinking and advanced learning as students prepare for higher education or career pathways.
• Designing challenging and engaging lessons that assist students in reaching their individual goals and aspirations.
• Acting as mentors and role models, guiding students through significant transitions while promoting independence, resilience, and leadership.
