Role Overview:
King’s College Doha seeks an enthusiastic Teacher of Chemistry for August 2026 to deliver engaging, innovative teaching across the Secondary School and Sixth Form. The ideal candidate will motivate students to build strong scientific knowledge, analytical skills, and a passion for Chemistry through a forward-thinking curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning
• Design, prepare, and deliver exceptional Chemistry lessons that are engaging, challenging, and inclusive.
• Create schemes of work and lesson plans that incorporate scientific inquiry, practical experiments, and real-world applications.
• Utilize diverse teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance learning and progress.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to aid pupil academic development.
• Effectively prepare students for external examinations, including GCSE and A Level Chemistry.

Pupil Enrichment
• Lead and support extracurricular initiatives such as science clubs, competitions, and STEM projects.
• Encourage students to explore STEM pathways and careers through various enrichment opportunities.

Pastoral Responsibilities
• Contribute to students’ holistic development through active pastoral care.
• Engage in the broader life of the school through co-curricular and enrichment activities.

Curriculum Development
• Create engaging learning activities that enhance scientific understanding.
• Develop high-quality, subject-specific resources.
• Assist in sourcing and managing laboratory materials and specialized equipment.
• Ensure alignment of the Chemistry curriculum both vertically and horizontally.
• Analyze pupil progress data and implement strategies to achieve outstanding outcomes.
• Regularly reflect on practices and engage in continuous professional development.
