About This Role
ROLE SUMMARY:
Beginning in April 2026, ISM is looking to hire a skilled, qualified, and motivating Teacher of MYP Mathematics to become part of our secondary school team. This position includes teaching IB MYP Mathematics and providing support for IBDP classes. Ideal candidates will possess substantial experience in teaching Mathematics, uphold high educational standards, and showcase a creative and innovative teaching approach. They should be enthusiastic about participating in all facets of departmental growth and be a committed team player who exemplifies excellence.
A strong understanding of how to nurture students for whom English is not their first language will be essential. This role offers a chance to play a pivotal part in the advancement of a successful and expanding IB teaching team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Possess an EU passport or the legal right to live and work in Italy
•
Hold a relevant degree and teaching certification
•
Demonstrate exceptional classroom outcomes and experience in preparing students for external examinations
•
Have at least two years of teaching experience
•
Familiarity with the IB curriculum is required
•
Show a genuine passion for education and student engagement
•
Be willing to contribute to the development of the High School
•
Aspire to enhance and nurture a positive IB learning environment
•
Collaborate effectively as a team member both within the department and in interdisciplinary settings
•
Demonstrate commitment to IB standards, practices, and the IB Learner Profile
•
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Experience in an international or multicultural educational setting
•
Experience working with students who speak English as an Additional Language
