King’s College Riyadh is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to become part of our expanding team starting August 2026. King’s College Riyadh marks the first UK private school brand to open a branch in Saudi Arabia, in true collaboration with King’s College UK, which has been educating students in the UK and internationally for over 140 years.

Since our inception in 2021, King’s has experienced rapid growth, expanding to Year 7 in August 2025, with plans to extend to Year 13 (age 18), allowing students to complete their entire King’s education in Riyadh. Unique among most international schools in the city, King’s operates fully co-educationally from Pre-School through Year 7.

Role Overview:
The Humanities Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction across the Humanities subjects, ensuring that all students make remarkable progress. You will ignite curiosity, foster critical thinking, and instill a passion for learning while actively contributing to the academic, pastoral, and broader life of the school.

This position requires a teacher who is dedicated to nurturing students academically, socially, and personally—ensuring that each child reaches their fullest potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning

Deliver dynamic, well-structured lessons that align with the school’s curriculum, policies, and high expectations.


Facilitate excellent progress for all students through effective differentiation, assessment, and feedback.


Maintain strong behavior management in accordance with school policies.


Utilize data to inform planning, target-setting, and reporting.


Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to the academic monitoring of students.

Model and promote the school’s vision and values in all aspects of school life.


Provide outstanding pastoral care and show respect for Saudi culture.


Actively participate in school life, co-curricular activities, and community events.

Pastoral & Co-Curricular

Deliver excellent pastoral care and assist students in developing good habits, attitudes, and confidence.


Supervise and support students during break and lunch duties.


Engage actively in the school’s co-curricular program, House system, and broader school events.

Professional Expectations

Uphold and promote the school’s vision, values, and culture, including local Saudi cultural expectations.


Maintain high standards of professional conduct, integrity, punctuality, and presentation.


Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school development and continuing professional development (CPD).


Ensure full compliance with all safeguarding and child protection protocols.

The successful candidate will possess:

A Bachelor’s Degree / PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification / Qualified Teacher Status.


At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience (Essential).


Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum (Essential).


A demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities (Essential).


Strong classroom management and pastoral skills (Essential).


Experience working with EAL learners (Desirable).


An understanding of the expectations in UK independent and international schools (Desirable).
