TEACHER IN EARLY YEARS
Socrates Educa International School, situated in Salou just south of Barcelona, has the capacity to enroll up to 800 students. The school is inclusive and provides a comprehensive education for learners aged 1 to 18+. Pioneering the Socrates Educa model, this institution represents an innovative educational approach that is anticipated to be adopted by future schools. It is a thriving and joyful trilingual environment, offering instruction in English, Spanish, and Catalan across Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, and both National and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, as well as the US High School Dual Diploma. The curriculum is influenced by global teaching practices while remaining rooted in the local educational framework, primarily delivered in English, and includes Chinese as a foreign language.
Our school boasts a diverse array of extracurricular activities, community partnerships, and projects, alongside educational and cultural events, highlighted by an impressive annual university fair. Sports, music, and cultural initiatives are integral aspects of our school life.
Essential qualifications for all applicants:
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to conduct lessons entirely in authentic English.
We highly value:
- Experience in international settings across various continents or countries with differing curricula, accreditation in the International Baccalaureate, familiarity with Phonics, technological adeptness (particularly with Apple products and educational apps), a Montessori approach, open-mindedness, innovation, creativity, teamwork skills, the ability to differentiate instruction in the classroom, motivation to thrive in a multilingual context, and a readiness to engage in a challenging new venture.
Qualifications required:
- PGCE or Early Years QTS.
