PASTORAL CARE DIRECTOR – VINSCHOOL

Lead a comprehensive wellbeing and safeguarding culture within an engaging K–12 international setting.

Vinschool is on the lookout for a seasoned Pastoral Care Director to spearhead and enhance a holistic pastoral and wellbeing framework throughout our educational system.

This pivotal role is essential in embedding student wellbeing, safeguarding, and character development into the core of school life, ensuring they are integral components rather than separate entities of the educational journey.

The Role

The Pastoral Care Director will craft and manage Vinschool’s overarching pastoral strategy, ensuring consistency in safeguarding policies, wellbeing frameworks, behavioral systems, and student support services.

Collaboration will be key as you partner with school leaders, counselors, safeguarding officers, and teaching staff to foster a secure, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning atmosphere across all campuses.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the design and execution of comprehensive pastoral and safeguarding policies across the system.

· Ensure adherence to global safeguarding standards and best practices.

· Supervise wellbeing initiatives, student support frameworks, and behavioral policies.

· Offer strategic direction and professional development for pastoral leaders, Heads of Year, and safeguarding teams.

· Work alongside academic and senior leadership to weave wellbeing into curriculum, culture, and everyday practices.

· Provide counsel on and manage intricate student cases with confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment.

We Are Seeking a Leader Who

· Possesses extensive experience in pastoral leadership within international K–12 settings.

· Exhibits profound knowledge in safeguarding, child protection, and student wellbeing systems.

· Has a successful track record in leading whole-school or multi-campus pastoral or student services departments.

· Understands the principles of inclusive education and is adept in culturally diverse school communities.

· Communicates effectively and confidently across various cultures and leadership levels.

· Brings a calm presence, sound judgment, and systems thinking to the realm of student care.

Qualifications & Experience

· A relevant degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a similar field.

· Significant leadership experience in international K–12 environments.

· In-depth knowledge of international safeguarding standards.

· Experience working in culturally rich and complex school settings.
