Curriculum Overview

Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, tailored to mirror the culture, heritage, and values of Qatar. The school offers a seamless educational journey from Early Years to Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with robust pastoral support and a commitment to personal development.

Our curriculum at DBS is crafted to be engaging, comprehensive, and challenging, incorporating academic rigor alongside leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor’s in Education or an equivalent qualification.

• A certified teaching qualification, including a PGCE or QTS along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be backed by a relevant bachelor’s degree).

• In-depth subject knowledge, with substantial experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.

• Experience in teaching IGCSE and AS/A Levels; (IB experience is preferred for applicants for the Ain Khaled campus).

• A demonstrated history of providing exceptional teaching and learning.

• A strong dedication to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular initiatives.
