The Lycée Français Sophie Germain and the Lycée Français Guy de Maupassant, two prestigious French-accredited international institutions, are on the lookout for a skilled English Teacher to join their Middle and High School faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Our schools provide students with a pathway to the International French Baccalaureate (Baccalauréat Français International – BFI), with a significant emphasis on English Language and Literature. Students will undertake an advanced-level evaluation akin to A-level English and Literature, which necessitates exceptional academic standards, profound subject knowledge, and motivating teaching.

The Role

In the capacity of an English Teacher for Middle and High School, you will:

• Educate students in English Language and English Literature within the framework of the International British Section of the French National Curriculum

• Prepare students for critical external assessments, including the International French Baccalaureate and A-level equivalent exams

• Create engaging, challenging, and well-organized lessons that enhance students’ linguistic precision, critical thinking, and literary analysis capabilities

• Cultivate a positive, respectful, and stimulating classroom atmosphere

• Support the academic growth, confidence, and personal development of students

• Evaluate, monitor, and report on student progress according to curriculum standards

• Actively participate in departmental collaboration and contribute to the broader school community

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in English, English Literature, or English Teaching

• Documented teaching experience in Middle and/or High School

• Experience within a French system, British Section, or international school is highly regarded

• Familiarity with preparing students for external or advanced-level assessments is a plus
