About This Role

Job Summary:

SNA-HCMC is seeking a qualified PYP Homeroom Teacher to begin in AUGUST 2026. Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years' experience teaching the PYP. Active participation in Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) is expected as we enhance our CCA program.

It is important to note that SNA-HCMC is a CIS member and fully accredited by WASC, prioritizing safeguarding and child protection in our recruitment process. As such, we adhere to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. All candidates must be prepared to provide appropriate background checks. If these checks are not already available, we strongly suggest utilizing the ISS-Schroles 'verify' service, as applications will not be processed without these documents.

Key Responsibilities:
• Familiarize yourself with and adhere to SNA school policies, practices, and procedures.
• Engage professionally and effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
• Promote and embrace IB teaching and learning approaches (ATL's) in daily instruction.
• Exemplify the attributes of the IB learner profile.
• Assist students with the PYP exhibition when applicable.
• Participate in collaborative meetings at the grade level and across curricula to enhance the written and taught curriculum.
• Commit to ongoing professional development.
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with department members regarding planning, assessment, parent engagement, subject organization, and classroom management including behavior expectations and routines.
• Work with other school staff to foster social and emotional awareness.
• Actively engage in the behavioral management and pastoral care of your homeroom and other classes.
• Attend and contribute positively to staff meetings.
• Supervise student breaks as necessary.
• Coordinate class activities as needed.
• Keep accurate records of assessments, attendance, planning, reports, conferences, and parent communication using ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
• Build connections with the parent community to keep them informed about student learning, encouraging their involvement in events such as Parents as Learner (PAL) meetings, Student Led Conferences (SLCs), PYP exhibitions, and PTA participation.
• Serve as a resource and support for new staff members regarding curriculum, schedules, and procedures.
• Participate in school events and complete additional tasks as assigned by the PYP Coordinator.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education; a Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience teaching the Primary Years Programme in IB or international school contexts.
• Comprehensive understanding of IB PYP frameworks and inquiry-based learning methodologies.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering engaging, differentiated Arts lessons for diverse learners.
• Strong skills in classroom management and student supervision.
• Proficient in incorporating technology and digital tools into Arts instruction.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Creative, collaborative, and proactive in enhancing school life and CCAs.
• Dedicated to child safeguarding and capable of providing valid background checks.
• Open to participating in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student activities.

Compensation includes a highly competitive package featuring:
