We are on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher to join our Middle School and High School teams in August 2026. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Instruct Middle and High School students in Science, covering biology, chemistry, and physics topics in accordance with IB standards.


Design and implement captivating, hands-on lessons that encourage inquiry, experimentation, and analytical thinking.


Create personalized learning plans to accommodate the diverse needs of students, ensuring challenges are appropriate for varying levels of understanding.


Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies to facilitate academic advancement.


Incorporate technology and digital resources to enrich science education, utilizing lab simulations and data analysis tools.


Actively engage in the school’s extracurricular initiatives, including science clubs, fairs, and environmental programs.


Work collaboratively with colleagues from different disciplines to foster a unified, interdisciplinary learning experience aligned with the IB philosophy.


Guide students in their personal, academic, and social growth, supporting their interests in scientific subjects.


Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.


Ensure that teaching practices align with IB inquiry-based learning principles and the school’s values, fostering curiosity and a scientific mindset.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A university degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related area) along with a recognized teaching qualification.


Experience teaching science to Middle and High School students, preferably in an international or IB educational setting.


Knowledge of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP), as well as inquiry-based science education methodologies.


A demonstrated ability to cultivate a dynamic, experiential learning environment that sparks curiosity and engages students.


Skill in integrating technology to enhance science teaching through experiments, simulations, and interactive resources.


Strong communication abilities with fluency in English (knowledge of basic French is a plus).


A collaborative approach, capable of working effectively with colleagues across various disciplines.


Adaptability and flexibility in a multicultural context.


A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about advancements in science and educational best practices.


A proactive mindset with a passion for encouraging students to explore and appreciate science.


Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, including science fairs, clubs, or environmental initiatives.

Compensation
