About This Role

The Role
The ideal candidate will be an adept classroom educator who makes a significant impact on student learning and contributes positively to the school environment. They will create educational experiences that honor each student's uniqueness, provoke critical thinking, and cultivate essential skills necessary for success in a dynamic world.

As we advance to Year 8, we are seeking a Chemistry specialist to collaborate with our current Science teacher in further developing and implementing the KS3 curriculum, while also preparing for our inaugural GCSE cohort set to commence in August 2028.

Teaching & Learning

Candidate Profile
Essential
• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, BEd or equivalent)
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a relevant environment
• Demonstrated evidence of effective teaching practices and student advancement
• Alignment with DBSJ’s ethos and a commitment to professional reflection and development
• A readiness to participate in extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives
• Knowledge of data-informed teaching and inclusive pedagogies

Desirable
• Experience in British or international curriculum schools
• Familiarity with KHDA or DSIB frameworks, particularly concerning compliance with chemical storage and effective management of Science technicians
