Position Overview:
• The main responsibility of the classroom teacher is to enhance student learning and development through the design, preparation, and delivery of programs that cater to individual learning requirements and meet specific student outcomes.
• Teachers are tasked with conducting lessons across various student abilities and classes, ensuring effective differentiation to accommodate differing learning styles.
• Participate in continuous assessment and provide feedback to track student progress, adjusting teaching techniques as needed to improve learning results.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and respect.
• Work together with colleagues, parents, and support staff to offer a cohesive educational experience that promotes the holistic development of each child.
• Engage in reflective practice and professional growth to continually enhance knowledge and skills, thereby improving student engagement and learning.
• Employ innovative teaching strategies and resources, incorporating technology to support learning and stimulate creativity.
• Encourage social, emotional, and physical growth by integrating relevant life skills and values into the curriculum.
General Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any field along with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE)
• Familiarity with the PYP and key principles of the curriculum frameworks is beneficial
• Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience from a recognized educational institution

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is essential for teaching at an ESF school.
