Head of Department for English, Languages and Humanities
Creators, an innovative STEM-focused school set to launch in September 2025, is seeking an outstanding leader to head our Languages and Humanities departments. This essential position is vital to our objective of cultivating a culture of creativity, excellence, and entrepreneurial spirit among our students and staff.
About the Role:
We are in search of a forward-thinking leader with a strong dedication to enhancing learning experiences in Languages and Humanities. You will promote critical thinking, cultural appreciation, and effective communication skills, inspiring both students and educators. Your leadership will be key in developing a transformative approach to education, fostering a vibrant and dynamic department where staff and students are encouraged to refine their linguistic and humanistic abilities, utilize them effectively, and achieve their goals and ambitions.
• Deliver English Language and Literature lessons and potentially teach additional subjects, demonstrating a dynamic teaching style in your classroom.
• Cultivate a passion for learning while broadening knowledge in languages and humanities.
• Design and execute a groundbreaking educational strategy in these areas.
• Establish an environment that encourages inquiry and creativity.
• Motivate students to excel in IGCSE and other assessments, international competitions, and cultural exchanges.
• Ensure mastery of the subject and excellence in curriculum development.
• Formulate strategies to support gifted students in achieving exceptional results across academic and extracurricular activities.
• Actively participate in the school’s co-curricular programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A master’s degree or doctorate in one of the relevant subject areas is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and a successful track record in a comparable head of department or academic leadership role.
• Ideally, we are looking for a UK-trained and qualified teacher with relevant experience in UK or British International schools.
