Every staff member plays a crucial role in the pastoral care of the school, assisting students in reaching their academic potential while nurturing vital social skills. This position also provides the chance to participate in co-curricular clubs and enrichment activities.

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Teacher of Key Stage 3 Science to join us in August 2026, preferably someone with a background in international or UK curricula.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons at Key Stage 3, aligned with the school’s curriculum framework.
• Create and implement stimulating lessons that promote scientific inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking.
• Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments, upholding rigorous academic standards.
• Provide pastoral care that supports student well-being and collaborate closely with the school’s well-being team.
• Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, science clubs, and enrichment initiatives.
• Contribute to curriculum development and improvement initiatives within the school.
• Foster a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
• Work together with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
• Stay informed about advancements in science education and engage in continuous professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field) accompanied by a valid teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3, ideally with familiarity in international or UK curricula.
• The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for Science.
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Experience leveraging technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
