We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Teacher of Key Stage 3 Science to join us in August 2026, preferably someone with a background in international or UK curricula.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons at Key Stage 3, aligned with the school’s curriculum framework.
- Create and implement stimulating lessons that promote scientific inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking.
- Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments, upholding rigorous academic standards.
- Provide pastoral care that supports student well-being and collaborate closely with the school’s well-being team.
- Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, science clubs, and enrichment initiatives.
- Contribute to curriculum development and improvement initiatives within the school.
- Foster a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
- Work together with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
- Stay informed about advancements in science education and engage in continuous professional development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field) accompanied by a valid teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3, ideally with familiarity in international or UK curricula.
- The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for Science.
- Strong skills in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience leveraging technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
