About This Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive department. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop confidence, technical understanding, and a love for designing and making.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life—whether through product design, engineering principles, resistant materials, CAD/CAM, or creative problem‑solving.

What You’ll Do
  • Teach high‑quality, inspiring D&T lessons that spark curiosity and creativity

  • Plan and deliver a curriculum that blends traditional skills with modern technologies

  • Support students in developing practical expertise, from concept to prototype

  • Contribute to a collaborative, forward‑thinking department

  • Maintain a safe, well‑organised workshop environment

  • Encourage students to take pride in their work and aim high

What We’re Looking For
  • A qualified teacher (ECTs warmly welcomed)

  • Strong subject knowledge across Design & Technology specialisms

  • Someone who is innovative, organised, and committed to student success

  • A team player who enjoys sharing ideas and learning from others

  • A passion for helping young people develop real‑world skills

What We Offer
  • A supportive, friendly staff team

  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression

  • A school culture that values creativity, curiosity, and practical learning

  • Enthusiastic students who love hands‑on challenges

If you’re excited by the idea of shaping the next generation of designers, engineers, and makers, we’d be delighted to receive your application.
