About This Role

At Ingoldsby Academy, we believe that every child deserves to feel valued, supported and inspired to achieve their very best. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our small but mighty team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important part in helping our children to learn, grow and thrive. Working closely with teachers and senior staff, you will provide support that enables pupils to access learning, develop their independence and feel confident in themselves.

You will work with individual children and small groups, both within the classroom and, where appropriate, outside the main teaching area. You will help to implement personalised learning plans and provide the encouragement, guidance and practical support that children need to succeed.

The role will also include supporting pupils during break and lunchtime, helping to create a safe, happy and welcoming environment throughout the school day.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who:

  • genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their lives
  • is kind, patient and encouraging
  • can build positive relationships with children and adults
  • is able to support children with different learning needs and abilities
  • works well as part of a team and is happy to learn alongside others
  • can encourage children to become increasingly confident and independent
  • shares our belief that every child can achieve and has something special to offer.

Why Ingoldsby?

Ingoldsby Academy is a small rural primary school, situated close to Grantham, Bourne and Sleaford. Our size is one of our greatest strengths: we know our children and families well, and our staff work together as a close and supportive team.

We are committed to creating an environment where both children and adults can grow and thrive. As Ofsted recognised:

“Staff and pupils show kindness and care to each other in abundance.”

We are proud of our warm, inclusive culture and our commitment to providing children with both high-quality education and broad opportunities to discover their interests, talents and potential.

As part of the David Ross Education Trust (DRET), we also benefit from being part of a wider family of academies committed to high educational standards, alongside an unrivalled package of sporting and cultural enrichment.

If you are someone who wants to make a difference, enjoys working collaboratively and would love to be part of a school where relationships, ambition and kindness really matter, we would love to hear from you.

Come and be part of our small but mighty team!
