Teacher of PE

Benenden Bilingual School Guangzhou is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Teacher of PE for the academic year 2025-2026. In this position, you will play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive curriculum, ensuring a high standard of education that fosters student learning and achievement. You will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and learning, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of professional educators.

Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that address the individual learning needs of each student, facilitating their academic development.
Effective Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in your assigned classes, utilizing diverse teaching methods and technologies to inspire and engage students.
Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate and grade student work promptly and accurately, adhering to departmental assessment standards. Prepare reports as required and assign tasks consistent with school policies.
Constructive Communication: Provide clear and constructive feedback to students, parents, and guardians, fostering a supportive educational environment.
Additional Support: Offer extra assistance to students beyond regular class hours, reinforcing knowledge and creating opportunities for advanced learning. Participate in ongoing professional development sessions to share best practices.
Wellbeing Monitoring: Remain attentive to the social-emotional wellbeing of students, monitoring their academic performance and assisting them in setting and achieving appropriate goals.
Safeguarding and Development: Play a part in promoting health, safety, and discipline, contributing to both the academic and personal growth of students.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and report on the academic progress of your assigned class/group, maintaining open communication with parents.
Effective Parent Communication: Engage actively with class parents, providing updates and fostering a collaborative relationship to enhance student success.

Typical General Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Typical Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in pedagogy, teacher education, or related fields.
Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in K12 education.

Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:
Solid educational and teaching expertise to contribute to curriculum development and design.
Strong understanding and awareness of students’ social, emotional, and learning needs.
