About This Role

The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a distinguished international educational institution nestled in a beautiful environment. As an HMC school, our recent evaluation by the British Schools Overseas (BSO) affirmed our excellence in various areas, including educational quality, safeguarding, student welfare, and academic achievement.

BSB caters to a vibrant and respected community of students aged 3 to 18. Our academic structure is based on the English National Curriculum, providing a wide range of GCSEs, A Levels, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, along with a robust enrichment programme aimed at fostering the holistic growth of each student.

With over 2000 learners from more than 74 nationalities and a committed team of over 315 staff members, BSB is a lively and diverse institution. In 2026, we will open our new, state-of-the-art campus in Maresme, located to the east of Barcelona city. To meet the growing demand, this campus will initially accommodate students from Nursery to Year 6. This ambitious initiative will include various specialized facilities such as flexible classrooms, science laboratories, well-equipped music and art studios, rehearsal areas, designated spaces for recreation, social interaction, and study, in addition to exceptional indoor and outdoor sports facilities, all set against a stunning backdrop of mountains and the Mediterranean coast. It promises to be an extraordinary place for both learning and working.

As part of our expansion, we are actively seeking additional primary teachers to join the founding team at BSB Maresme. Concurrently, our established campus in Barcelona City is also expanding and enhancing its offerings as part of the wider BSB community. In preparation for the upcoming academic year and the continued development of our programmes, we are looking for Early Years and Primary teachers to join our team there as well.

BSB's dedication to delivering an outstanding student experience, achieving strong academic outcomes, and promoting character development along with a global perspective has driven our success. We are ambitious and forward-thinking, consistently striving for improvement. Our culture prioritizes professional growth, collaboration, and reflective practice, ensuring our staff receives ample support in their career progression.

As we grow across our campuses, we are keen to find exceptional teachers to join our team. If you are interested in taking part in this unique opportunity and contributing to the next phase of our development, we welcome your application. A commitment to the broader school community and engagement in our enrichment programme is a vital expectation of this position.
