Job Purpose
The position of British Curriculum A Level Law / Sociology Teacher involves providing exceptional instruction in Law and Sociology, helping students cultivate a thorough understanding of legal concepts, societal structures, and civic duties. This role fosters the growth of critical thinking, analytical abilities, and an awareness of both local and global legal and social contexts, adhering to UAE educational standards and the principles of the school.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver captivating and effective lessons in A Level Law and Sociology.
- Instruct students on fundamental legal principles including constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, human rights, and various legal systems (both local and international).
- Cover Sociology subjects such as socialization, culture, identity, inequality, institutions, and applicable research methodologies within the curriculum.
- Ensure lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments comply with the British Curriculum and relevant regulatory standards.
- Enhance students’ critical thinking, research capabilities, debate skills, and ability to analyze case studies.
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress through diverse formative and summative assessment techniques.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations, coursework, and presentations.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to improve learning outcomes.
- Keep precise academic records and participate in reporting cycles.
- Create a positive learning atmosphere through effective classroom management.
- Assist in the personal, moral, social, and cultural development of students in accordance with UAE values.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, colleagues, and school leadership regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Actively engage in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and curriculum planning.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as debating clubs, Model UN, or legal awareness initiatives when suitable.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
