Northview International School (NVIS) is seeking an energetic and student-centered Middle / High School Mathematics Teacher to join our growing international team in Doha, Qatar.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across middle and high school levels, delivering engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum while helping students build confidence and proficiency in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons per the American curriculum
  • Support students in enhancing their problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical abilities
  • Utilize student-centered teaching approaches that encourage exploration and mathematical reasoning
  • Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance mathematical learning
  • Assess and monitor student progress through both formative and summative evaluations
  • Cultivate a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and confident in their mathematical skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and teaching methodologies
  • Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities and community service

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field
  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at the Middle School and/or High School level
  • Knowledge of or training in an American curriculum framework
  • Strong classroom management and communication abilities

Experience in an international school setting is advantageous but not essential.
