Frontier School Division is seeking applications for the following role:

Position: Literacy and Numeracy Support Teacher
Location: Brochet School
Start Date: As soon as possible
FTE: 1.00 FTE
Term of Employment: Term to June 30, 2026

Brochet School is a Nursery to Grade 9 institution serving approximately 175 students. Nestled on the serene northeastern shore of Reindeer Lake, Brochet is a charming community accessible via daily flights from Thompson, MB and winter roads. With a population of around 600, the town features community services including a Northern Store, nursing station, community hall/youth center, baseball diamond, and an outdoor skating rink.

In collaboration with the classroom teacher, the Literacy and Numeracy Support Teacher will provide the following services:
• Development and support of programming
• Classroom assistance
• Individualized and small group instruction
• Conducting assessments

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Education Degree and a Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one)
• Familiarity with structured literacy programming and research-based teaching practices
• Understanding of appropriate educational programming
• Experience adhering to an instructional scope and sequence with systematic teaching
• Background in creating and implementing individualized programming for At-Risk students and those with special needs
• Knowledge and experience with the Confident Learners Program from The Learning Bar
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong foundation in formative assessment and data-informed instruction
• Understanding and application of cooperative learning and small group instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and colleagues as a team member

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
