Position Overview

We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to join our enthusiastic and committed team. The perfect candidate will possess a genuine passion for teaching and a dedication to the comprehensive development of children. They will also be a collaborative team member who aligns with the ethos, values, and goals of our school.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

- A recognized degree in Mathematics or a related discipline from an accredited university, along with a PGCE, QTS, or another internationally acknowledged teaching qualification.

- A minimum of three years of teaching experience in mathematics across KS3–5, with a demonstrated history of success in I/GCSE and A Level examinations.

- Exhibit exemplary teaching practices in the classroom, ideally verified by an external body.

- Possess a solid understanding of effective teaching methodologies, learning strategies, and how to utilize assessments to enhance student learning while effectively managing data.

- Demonstrate the influence of teaching on the advancement of individual students and groups.

- Willingness to work with small groups, including students with SEND, to offer focused support and ensure progress.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications; experience with SIMS is a plus.

- Strong understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection best practices, backed by recent and relevant training.

- Actively lead or participate in a variety of school-related extracurricular activities.

- Be an exceptional team player who supports the Catholic ethos, values, and objectives of the school, committed to the holistic education of children.

Key Responsibilities


- Provide pastoral, academic, and behavioral support to students.

- Keep precise records of student progress and implement formal assessment methods.

- Assist parents with referrals to external organizations as necessary.

- Work together with parents, staff, and students on Individual Education Plans.

- Maintain effective communication with parents via reports and meetings.

- Engage in and lead extracurricular activities.

Salary and Benefits:

- Competitive salary ranging from CI$55,000 - CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free, depending on experience and qualifications.

Compensation

$67,073 - $83,536 per year (Competitive salary ranging from $55,000 - CI$68,500 Cayman Islands Dollars per annum, tax-free, based on experience and qualifications.)
