About the Role
We are thrilled to present a full-time, on-site position for an English Language and Literature teacher eager to infuse innovation, empathy, and enthusiasm into every lesson. We seek an individual who can motivate students through engaging and meaningful learning experiences, nurturing a classroom environment where diversity is celebrated, and every student feels acknowledged and valued. As Lumio Private School progresses through the IB authorization process, this is a unique chance to develop alongside us. Whether you’re an experienced IB MYP/DP educator or a recent IB Diploma graduate, we will provide you with the necessary support and training to thrive and advance in your position.
What You’ll Do
•
Instruct MYP English Language and Literature, with a possibility of teaching English B in DP.
•
Create engaging and thought-provoking lessons that stimulate curiosity and enhance robust language and literary skills.
•
Employ a balanced approach of discussions, interactive activities, and digital tools to enliven your lessons.
•
Cultivate a classroom culture founded on respect, inclusivity, and cultural awareness.
•
Collaborate with a diverse group of educators to refine the curriculum and exchange best practices.
•
Engage in professional development opportunities such as workshops, webinars, and IB training to continually improve your teaching skills.
What We’re Looking For
•
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or English Language Teaching (or equivalent).
•
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a comparable MYP/DP teaching role at an international school.
•
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; a strong dedication to student-centered learning and cultural understanding.
