Education Stage: Elementary/Primary School
Minimum Experience: 5 years
Role Overview:
The Assistant Head of Prep School – EYFS will be instrumental in directing and overseeing the EYFS department. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, extensive knowledge of the UK early years curriculum, and a fervor for cultivating an engaging and nurturing educational atmosphere. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with faculty, parents, and senior leadership to uphold exemplary teaching and learning standards within EYFS.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience within the UK Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience in primary or prep school environments
- Comprehensive understanding of contemporary best practices in early childhood education
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Capability to lead curriculum development that meets UK educational standards
- Proficient in mentoring and supporting teaching staff to enhance their practice
- Familiarity with assessment tools pertinent to EYFS monitoring
- Qualified teacher status recognized by UK educational authorities
- PGCE/i and/or relevant Educational Degree
