About This Role

We require an exemplary SENDCo who:

- Possesses extensive experience and a thorough understanding of SEND provision, legislation, and inclusive teaching methods.
- Has a successful history of leading, shaping, and innovating SEND practices with tangible outcomes for both pupils and their families.
- Can work across different educational phases, with a primary focus on the primary phase.
- Is capable of inspiring, challenging, and supporting colleagues to deliver exceptional provision for children with SEND.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and a proactive attitude, showing a desire to effect positive change.
- Is a collaborative team member who listens to and appreciates the perspectives of others while contributing their own ideas and initiatives.
- Exhibits resilience and can effectively manage challenging and emotional conversations with families.
- Is committed to enhancing high-quality teaching through adaptive strategies informed by current pedagogical research, ensuring that every learner's needs are met thoughtfully and accurately.

This position will primarily involve serving three small primary schools within our Trust located in the York area, with the aim of supporting and implementing outstanding SEND practices.

Occasional travel to other schools in the Trust and attendance at Trust-wide meetings may be necessary.

Job Details
Hours of Work: 1.0 FTE, with the possibility of part-time work at 0.8 FTE

Travel Required: Yes, with the ability and willingness to travel to Trust sites as needed
