Curriculum Overview
Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, customized to align with Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school offers a cohesive educational journey from Early Years to Sixth Form, blending academic excellence with exceptional pastoral care and a focus on personal growth.
Throughout all levels, the DBS curriculum is designed to be relevant, engaging, and intellectually stimulating, intertwining academic rigor with elements of leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.
Ideal candidates should have:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor’s in Education or an equivalent qualification.
•
A valid teaching qualification like a PGCE or QTS, accompanied by an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).
•
Exceptional subject knowledge, with substantial experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.
•
Experience instructing International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level courses.
•
A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning results.
•
A strong commitment to engaging with the wider school community through extracurricular involvement.

This role is scheduled to begin in September 2026; however, staff members are expected to arrive in the country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
