Support for Learning Assistant (Advanced)

Job AdvertFalkirk Council is seeking to recruit a permanent Support for Learning Assistant at advanced level. The postholder will be required to undertake a range of whole school support activities with regard to the general supervision, safety, wellbeing of pupils, assisting with personal care and hygiene also within the dining room, outside areas, lavatories and on education excursions as required.
Within the school, the postholder will seek overall direction and will carry out tasks determined and assigned by the designated teacher. Postholders would be required to fulfil the majority of the criteria described under advanced descriptions, but not expected to undertake all tasks under this heading.
Successful applicants for posts working with children or vulnerable adults will be subject to disclosure checks or the new PVG scheme and approval by Care Commission Scotland.
You will work 27.5 hours per week on a term-time basis.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
You will also require approval by Care Commission Scotland.
