The Opportunity

Downe House Riyadh is inviting applications from candidates interested in potential positions for the Academic Year 2025 – 26.

Opened in September 2022, Downe House Riyadh represents the first premium British private all-girls’ school (Boys Pre-School-Year 4) for students aged 3-18 in Saudi Arabia. The establishment of a new school is a thrilling journey, and as we embark on our third year, Downe House Riyadh offers a world-class curriculum. Our genuine partnership with Downe House UK continues to flourish, benefiting from over a century of excellence, as Downe House is one of the UK's most esteemed all-girls’ institutions, consistently ranked among the top five in its category, with a commitment to sharing expertise.

Situated in the affluent neighborhood of Aqeeq in northern Riyadh, Downe House Riyadh has tailored its curriculum to align with the cultural context of Saudi Arabia, ensuring that our students excel in Arabic and Islamic Studies alongside other core subjects. The school functions within a UK independent school framework, and we expect all staff to actively engage in co-curricular activities with a positive attitude.

We plan to conduct interviews for shortlisted candidates based in the UK at Downe House UK on the 3rd or 4th of January.

The Position - Primary Class Teacher (KS2)

Downe House Riyadh is in search of a passionate and committed Primary Class Teacher dedicated to establishing a strong foundation in key subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, and Humanities. In this role, you will be essential in igniting pupils’ curiosity, promoting critical thinking, and instilling vital skills that support their long-term educational journey, guided by the Downe House DNA Values.

With many students learning English as an Additional Language (EAL), you will implement strategies that facilitate language acquisition alongside academic performance, ensuring all learners can engage with and succeed in the curriculum. While specialist teachers will cover Ministry of Education subjects, you will provide students with a broad and balanced educational experience, utilizing creative and adaptable teaching methods to accommodate varied learning needs.
