The Opportunity

Downe House Riyadh is inviting applications from individuals interested in potential positions at our school for the Academic Year 2025 – 26.

Founded in September 2022, Downe House Riyadh is the inaugural premium British private all-girls' school (Boys Pre-School-Year 4) catering to ages 3-18 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The launch of a new school is an exhilarating moment, and as we approach our third year, Downe House Riyadh offers a world-class curriculum. Our genuine partnership with Downe House UK continues to flourish, benefiting from over a century of expertise, with Downe House being one of the UK's most esteemed all-girls' schools, consistently ranked among the top five in the nation.

Located in the northern part of Riyadh in the distinguished neighborhood of Aqeeq, Downe House Riyadh has a curriculum thoughtfully tailored for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring our girls excel in Arabic language and Islamic Studies, alongside a wide range of other subjects. The school operates within the standards of a UK independent school, with active participation in and a positive attitude towards co-curricular activities being the expectation for all staff.

We plan to conduct interviews for shortlisted candidates based in the UK at Downe House UK on January 3rd or 4th.

The Position - Primary Class Teacher (KS1)

Downe House Riyadh is in search of a passionate and dedicated Primary Class Teacher who is enthusiastic about establishing a solid foundation in essential subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, and Humanities. In this role, you will be crucial in nurturing students' curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and instilling vital skills that will support their long-term academic success, guided by the Downe House DNA Values.

With many students developing English as an Additional Language (EAL), you will implement strategies to facilitate language acquisition alongside academic advancement, ensuring all learners can access and thrive within the curriculum. While specialist teachers cover Ministry of Education subjects, you will engage students through a diverse and balanced curriculum, employing creative and adaptable teaching methods to meet varying learning needs.
