About This Role

ACS Doha stands out in Qatar's educational landscape as a unique American International IB Continuum school located on an exceptional new campus. Recently joining the Artemis Education group, this role presents a remarkable opportunity for a Middle and High School Principal to guide ACS Doha into an exciting new chapter of its evolution—enhancing the school's identity, revitalizing its offerings, and reinforcing its status as a welcoming and inclusive community. The goal is to position ACS Doha as a leading institution in Qatar and a benchmark for American international education on a global scale.

Currently serving 980 students from pre-K through 12th grade, ACS Doha has significant potential for growth in its new facility.

The new leadership will play a critical role in merging ACS Doha's unique characteristics with the Artemis Promise and pedagogical approach, which prioritize academic excellence, holistic child development, social and environmental responsibility, and a genuine commitment to community engagement. Artemis schools are tailored to incorporate context-specific curricula, while the Artemis Experience framework ensures that extracurricular activities and community involvement are integral to the educational journey. Every Artemis institution is intentionally designed to reflect its local culture and community, fostering the idea that the community itself serves as a classroom.

The impressive campus of ACS Doha marks a departure from conventional institutional designs, creating an engaging, inclusive, and practical space that encourages innovative thinking and rigorous learning. This landmark facility is already distinguishing ACS Doha within Qatar, and maximizing the utilization of its resources will be essential for the school’s ongoing transformation.

Above all, this is a chance to rejuvenate all facets of ACS Doha, creating an environment where a passion for learning, enjoyment, challenges, and high standards are woven into everyday life, while nurturing a strong sense of purpose. The Principal will be pivotal in cultivating aspirations that inspire continuous improvement in teaching and learning, elevate student achievement, and lay the groundwork for future growth.

This position is ideal for a driven and seasoned leader in Middle and High School education, eager to thrive in an environment brimming with potential and where they can make a substantial impact. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in US curriculum-based schools and solid experience with the International Baccalaureate, likely with a particular focus on the MYP as well as experience with the DP. They should be an enthusiastic instructional leader, open to broader organizational leadership considerations. Their proven track record will reflect an understanding that enhancing student achievement relies on a safe environment, strong well-being systems, and a rich, holistic program.

The appointment for the Middle and High School Principal is to be made as soon as possible.
