About This Role

Lunchtime Learning Support Assistant

Position Type: Part-Time, Term-Time (approximately 36 weeks per year)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (11:00 – 14:30)

Compensation: £9,924 annually, plus a central London allowance of £1,000 per year.

Start Date: As soon as possible

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Lunch-Time Assistant to join our Teaching Team, where you will support children during lunchtime and playtime.

What the role entails:
• Assisting children during lunch and playtime, encouraging positive behavior.
• Keeping the lunch and play areas clean and organized before, during, and after meals.
• Setting up and tidying equipment and resources during lunch and playtime.
• Providing Teaching Assistant coverage while colleagues take their lunch breaks.
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other staff members.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Confidence, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for learning and engaging with children.
• Strong English language skills (both written and spoken), along with proficient reading, writing, and numeracy abilities.
• The capability to establish positive working relationships with children, teachers, parents, and caregivers.
• Experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those on the Autism Spectrum.
• Skills to manage a small group of children with complex social communication needs.
• A commitment to promoting positive behavior in a supportive environment is crucial.
• The role can be challenging, so mental and physical resilience are essential traits for all staff.
