Brochet School caters to students from Nursery to Grade 9, with an enrollment of approximately 175 students. Located on the tranquil northeastern shore of Reindeer Lake, Brochet is a delightful community that can be reached via daily flights from Thompson, MB, and winter roads. The town, home to around 600 residents, boasts community amenities including a Northern Store, nursing station, community hall/youth center, baseball diamond, and an outdoor skating rink.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support educational programming
- Assist in the classroom
- Provide individualized and small group instruction
- Conduct assessments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education Degree and a Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
- Knowledge of structured literacy programs and evidence-based teaching methods
- Understanding of suitable educational programming
- Experience following an instructional scope and sequence with systematic teaching approaches
- Ability to design and implement tailored programming for At-Risk students and those with special needs
- Familiarity with the Confident Learners Program from The Learning Bar
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Solid grounding in formative assessment and data-driven instruction
- Knowledge of cooperative learning and small group instruction methods
- Capability to work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues as part of a team
