About This Role

The Pointer School, an Independent Christian Prep and pre-Prep institution located in Blackheath, Southeast London, is looking for a diligent and committed Kitchen Assistant to become part of our vibrant catering team on a part-time basis.

The role of a Kitchen Assistant entails:

- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Cleaning and tidying all kitchen areas, including washing dishes
- Serving meals to both children and staff
- Unloading and organizing deliveries
- Disposing of waste, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly
- Conducting deep cleaning of fridges and storage areas to uphold hygiene and safety standards

The working hours are from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, two days a week, during term time only, providing 18 weeks of holiday each year. This position is set to begin in January 2026.

Compensation

£30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS Scale)
