Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in History or a related discipline
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)
• A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching History in a secondary school environment
• Familiarity with the British curriculum for History (GCSE and A-Level)
• In-depth knowledge of historical periods, themes, and historiography
• Proven experience in fostering analytical and evaluative skills in students
• Understanding of differentiated teaching approaches for diverse learners
• Proficiency in utilizing primary and secondary sources for teaching
• Strong communication skills to facilitate engaging discussion-based learning
• Knowledge of contemporary methodologies and best practices in history education
• Experience in assessing and tracking student progress in history
• Ability to promote intercultural understanding through historical contexts
• Experience organizing relevant field trips and activities to enrich learning
