Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in History or a related discipline
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching History in a secondary school environment
- Familiarity with the British curriculum for History (GCSE and A-Level)
- In-depth knowledge of historical periods, themes, and historiography
- Proven experience in fostering analytical and evaluative skills in students
- Understanding of differentiated teaching approaches for diverse learners
- Proficiency in utilizing primary and secondary sources for teaching
- Strong communication skills to facilitate engaging discussion-based learning
- Knowledge of contemporary methodologies and best practices in history education
- Experience in assessing and tracking student progress in history
- Ability to promote intercultural understanding through historical contexts
- Experience organizing relevant field trips and activities to enrich learning
